MSCA4Ukraine webinar: Open Science principles and practices

The webinar, which takes place on 25 October 11:00-12:30 CET, will address open science principles and practices in the EU and how open science can contribute to the strengthening of the Ukrainian higher education and research sector. Open science is defined by the EU’s Research Executive Agency as “an approach to research based on open cooperative work – that emphasizes the sharing of knowledge, results and tools as early and widely as possible.”

 

The webinar will contain the following:

Overview of open science in the EU- Dr Victoria Tsoukala, Policy Officer-Open Science, European Commission.
Guide to the Open Research Europe platform-Dr Victoria Tsoukala, Policy Officer-Open Science, European Commission.
Contribution of open science to the rebuilding of Ukraine’s higher education and research sector-Prof. Dr. Sören Auer, Director of the TIB – Leibniz Information Centre for Science and Technology, Head of the Data Science and Digital Libraries Research Group at Leibniz University Hannover; Margret Plank, Head of the Lab for Non-Textual Information at the TIB; Nataliya Butych, Regional Coordinator Eastern Europe, International Office of Leibniz University Hannover.
