Latvia University of Life Sciences and Technologies shares a call for registrations to

International Scientific Conference 'Research for Rural Development'


The conference provides an international platform for the exchange of scientific knowledge, presentation of research results, and discussion of future development trends, bringing together both experienced and early-career researchers. It will take place on 13-14 May 2026 at Latvia University of Life Sciences and Technologies in Jelgava.

Researchers are invited to submit contributions in the following Knowledge-Intensive Bioeconomy research areas relevant to rural development: 

Life Sciences: Sustainable and climate-smart research and management of natural resources, including agricultural sciences (crop production, animal breeding), veterinary medicine, food safety, forestry, and more. 
Engineering Sciences: Technologies and innovations for sustainable and climate-neutral resource management, including agricultural and rural engineering, environmental engineering, landscape architecture, water management, food science, ICT, wood processing, and more. 
Social Sciences: Research and administration for a sustainable bioeconomy and smart spatial development, including agrarian economics, regional development, land use planning, education, and more.


The deadline for registration and abstract submission is 30 January 2026.
